The tradition of celebrating the Dutch Monarch's birthday

Every year, by the end of April, The Netherlands turn orange to celebrate the Dutch King’s Birthday. Dutch and Dutch-minded communities all over the World join in. So does the Dutch community in San Diego. For one day, Dutch and Dutch-minded San Diegans take on the orange, the color of the royal Dutch family.

Come join us in celebrating the King’s Birthday with Dutch and Indonesian traditional food and drinks, music from our Belgian DJ, traditional children’s games, a kid’s flea market and lots of entertainment.

Free street parking on Eastgate Mall

Annual SILENT AUCTION & prize draw

The Dutch School is excited to announce our annual Silent Auction, featuring a fantastic selection of items and experiences to bid on!

The Silent Auction will open on Wednesday, April 15. The moment bidding is live, we will share the link here. You can place your bids at the King’s Day Party itself or online until 4:15 pm on Saturday, April 25.

We will also be hosting a fun Prize Draw (Raffle) at 3:30 pm, with lots of wonderful prizes; a great chance to try your luck while supporting both the King’s Day Event and the Dutch School!

We are looking for Silent Auction and Raffle donations. If you or your business would like to contribute an item or experience, we would love to hear from you! Please email us at sdkingsday@gmail.com.
